Dan Wyant, Chairman and President of the Edward Lowe Foundation will present on lessons learned from 20 years of working with successful entrepreneurs. The Edward Lowe Foundation was established by Ed and Darlene Lowe in 1985. Ed was the inventor of Kitty Litter and Tidy Cat. Today the Foundation works with second stage, growth-oriented companies that have moved beyond the startup stage. The Edward Lowe Foundation in a national leader in supporting second stage entrepreneurs.

Dan Wyant was one of the longest-serving state department directors in Michigan’s history, having worked for three governors (Rick Snyder, John Engler and Jennifer Granholm) as the director of Michigan’s Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) and the director of Michigan’s Department of Agriculture (MDA). Dan grew up on a purebred swine farm in Cass County, attended Michigan State University and graduated from the Superior School of Auctioneering, Decatur Illinois.
