Wade Leist is a second-generation auctioneer from Northern Michigan. He started working livestock and estate auctions in 2001 with his father, MAA HOF Auctioneer Frank Leist. In 2004 he attended the Worldwide College of Auctioneering in Mason City, IA. Since then, he has been named a champion auctioneer in multiple state, national and international auctioneer championships. He served as the President of the Michigan Auctioneers Association in 2016 after a Director’s term. In 2021 he earned his Certified Michigan Auctioneer designation, and he continues to serve as a consultant for The Gavel.
