Michigan Auctioneer Champion 2013
Jimmy Lambert of McBain, Michigan won the title, Michigan Auctioneer Champion, at the 25th Anniversary of the Michigan Auctioneer Championships. The Championship was held on January 23 at the Michigan State Auctioneers Association’s Annual Conference in Lansing, Michigan. 9 Contestants competed for the coveted title. The 5 Finalists were John Beechy (Nappanee, Ind.), Romayne Graber (Charlotte, Mich.), Jimmy Lambert (McBain, Mich.), Wade Leist (Boyne City, Mich.) and Laura Mantle (Gahanna, Ohio). For winning the title, Jimmy received a championship buckle, trophy, and entry into the International Auctioneer Championship in July.
Also taking home honors were Wade Leist and John Beechy. Leist was 1st runner up and Beechy was 2nd runner up.
Jimmy Lambert started working as an auctioneer at 15 years old helping at benefit and charity auctions. In high school, he started working for his father’s company, Jim Lambert Auctioneers. He is still working there as an auctioneer, conducting on-site estate, farm, and annual consignment auctions from early spring to late fall.
Jimmy attended World Wide College of Auctioneering in the fall of 2010. The advice and guidance he received there helped him to completely reconstruct his bid call to be simpler and smoother.
He has previously worked as a livestock auctioneer and is currently working as a Marketing representative for Superior Livestock Auction in Michigan.
Jimmy is a Graduate of Michigan State University’s Ag Tech Program. He will be representing Michigan as the Michigan Auctioneer Champion in the 2013 International Auctioneer Championship in July. The event will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana.
