Congratulations to Tim Narhi, MAA 2010 Hall of Fame Inductee!Tim Narhi was inducted into the MAA Hall of Fame at their Annual Conference on January 28, 2010. Tim Narhi is the owner of Tim Narhi Auctioneer and Associates, established in Byron, MI and has been serving the community since 1983. He is a member of the National Auctioneers Association and a Life Member of the Michigan State Auctioneers Association (member since1986) where he served several years on the MAA Board of Directors and is currently serving as an officer.
Tim received the CAI designation from the Certified Auctioneers Institute (now the Auction Marketing Institute (AMI)) in April 2000 at the Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Tim has received the Certified Estate Specialist (CES) and Graduate Personal Property Appraiser (GPPA) designations from the AMI as well. Tim is an August of 1983 graduate of the Missouri Auction School in Kansas City, Missouri and a 1977 graduate of Hartland High School, Hartland, MI.
In 1993, Tim Narhi won the Michigan State Auctioneers Association Bid Calling Championship and has competed at the International Auctioneers Championship (IAC) held at the National Auctioneers Association (NAA) annual Conference and Shows. Tim received his Real Estate Sales License in 1986 and Real Estate Broker’s License in 2006 and is an Associate Broker with MasterBid Inc. in Grand Blanc, MI.
Tim is an officer of RF Equipment Inc., a family run business that specializes in engines and engine parts as well as farm tractor accessories. Tim is an Auctioneer for Williams and Lipton in Farmington, MI and has served as a Livestock Auctioneer for the Owosso Livestock Sales Co. in Owosso, MI and the Michigan Horse Auction in Fenton, MI for several years as well as an Auctioneer for Star Auction in Hartland, MI. where Roger and Warren Andersen gave him his first Auction selling opportunity.
Tim has worked with several Auctioneers and Auction companies over the years and also has a background in Farming, Farm Equipment Sales, Hauling and Repair, Metal Fabrication and CNC Machining. He has been a supporter of the youth in the community donating time to assist with and conduct Auctions to raise money for the Cub Scouts, 4H and the FFA as well as CARE (Citizens for Animal Rescue Emergencies).Tim married his wife Kimberly Ann in 1984. They attend St Mary’s Catholic Church in Durand. They have 2 sons, Leigh Michael and John Christopher, who are attending college, Leigh at the College of Creative Studies in Detroit and John at Michigan Tech. in Houghton. Tim enjoys Family, Dirt Bikes, Golfing and Sailing.
