The Michigan State Auctioneers Association mourns the loss of member, Donald “Gene” MacKenzie. Gene passed away July 24, 2005.

Gene worked for Sheridan, Narhi, Owosso Hay & Straw as a contract auctioneer. He graduated from Missouri Auction School. Gene attended several MAA Conventions, and always competed in the bid-calling competition. Gene has 3 children.

Gene was passionate about raising money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
