Dave Albrecht is a third-generation auctioneer with Albrecht Auction Service in Vassar, MI, a family business founded in 1954. He graduated from the Worldwide College of Auctioneering in 1991 and became the MAA Bid Calling Champion in 1994, later serving as a Director of the MAA. Dave is also a licensed real estate broker and member of the Realtor’s Association. For the past 20 years, Dave has owned and operated the business with his wife, Nicole. Their sons, Luke and Aaron, along with their son-in-law, Drew Thompson, have since joined the company, continuing the family legacy.

From Live Auctions to Online-Only
In this seminar, Dave Albrecht shares how he transformed a 50-year-old live auction company into an online-only operation. Drawing on nearly two decades of experience in online auctions, Dave takes attendees behind the scenes of this transformation—from early trial and error to building systems, training staff, and successfully transitioning customers to a new auction model. He will also break down the operations of running a weekly 4,000–5,000 item consignment auction, along with effective strategies for selling real estate and conducting large farm equipment liquidations. Attendees will leave with practical, real-world insights they can immediately apply to launch, grow, or strengthen their own online auction businesses.
